God Saves This Woman From Death Not Once Or Twice, But Three Times!

Miracles don’t happen as often as we’d like, but that doesn’t stop us from believing in the Almighty and his powers. He has shown us, in many ways, of his kind, merciful nature that has led to many special stories throughout time. Many people have been blessed to have been graced by his love, just like Lorraine and her mother Emily. Here’s their story:

God Steps in not Once, but Three Times to Save this Woman from Death

In August 2006, Emily told her daughter that she’s experiencing severe pain. Lorraine remembers her mother saying, “It’s a 10. It’s a level 10 pain. It’s very strong.” Emily told her that she had never experienced this pain before and she believes it’s coming from her heart.

Lorraine rushed her mother to the emergency room where a cardiac catheterization test was performed by the hospital staff. During the test, Emily’s heart stopped beating. After 10 minutes of struggling, doctors were able to finally revive her. She had a pulse again and was eventually stabilized. Although Emily was alive again, the results of the test revealed grim news.

A doctor approached Lorraine to give her the bad news. He told her, “It’s very serious; your mom has a torn aorta. There is nothing we can do for her. As per policy, we are going to send her to Iowa City, University of Iowa Hospital. But we know from experience there is really nothing they can do either. It’s a death sentence.” The news shook Lorraine to her very core. This was not what she’d expected and she was very afraid that she may lose her mother.

Faith gives strength
After Lorraine heard the news of her mother’s condition, she called her family to the hospital where they could pray together for Emily’s recovery. She then spent some time with her mother, afraid that she may never get to be with her again. Lorraine said, “I felt like this was the last time I was going to see her alive so as much as I could I spoke to her, told her I loved her, was able to stroke her hair, to kiss her, and that was all I could do. The level of anxiety, the level of grief was very high. At this point, there was no hope, no hope I had been given.”

It is never easy for any child to witness the death of a parent. To lose the person who raised you, looked after you, and who loved you the most in the world is a sadness that cannot be measured. Lorraine was not prepared to let her mother go. Emily was taken to the University of Iowa hospital. When Lorraine pulled up a few minutes after, she noticed a car at the parking lot with the letters Y.H.W.H. on its license plate. YHWH is God’s intimate name, and after seeing the license plate, Lorraine says she felt a divine presence around her. She knew He was there and watching over Emily. She said, “The peace that passes all understanding that guarded my heart and mind kicked in and came over me, and from that moment on, my anxiety was gone. My hopes are eternal and my hopes are in Christ, and I knew where my mom was going no matter what. And I knew the Lord was with me no matter what.”

With faith on her side, Lorraine waited patiently as the doctors at the university hospital conducted new cauterization tests to confirm what the previous doctors had found. After extensive testing, they came to Lorraine with their findings. They said, “We’ve done all the tests that we could and there is no torn aorta.” Lorraine was shocked with the results. What was there a couple of hours ago seems to have completely vanished. She said, “Anything that came out, it was all God.”

However, Emily was not in the clear just yet. The fresh tests revealed that an artery close to her heart had a 90 percent blockage. Doctors quickly rushed Emily into surgery so they could place a stent at the site of the blockage, but when they were about to conduct the procedure, they were surprised to see that the blockage had also completely disappeared.

God works in benevolent ways

After hearing that there was indeed no blockage, Lorraine was overjoyed. She said, “Really, there was nothing the doctors could do. God was doing a healing, and so far, nothing the medical community had done for my mom, they hadn’t been able to touch her. They hadn’t been able to perform anything. Nothing man did was healing her, this was all God. He healed the torn aorta. He removed the blockage.”

Doctors, however, expressed their worries on another issue. Emily was gone for full ten minutes at the previous hospital. Doctors explained to Lorraine that they were unsure of Emily’s brain function. It was unclear if she would have complete brain function after she woke up from the surgery. Emily woke up the following morning and attempted to communicate with Lorraine through sign language. Lorraine said, “My mom was lying on her bed, fully intubated, trying to use sign language. We can’t understand her. Finally, she’s frustrated enough, so they get her a pad like a clipboard and marker, and she writes down, ‘No anterograde or retrograde amnesia. So, I said, ‘Ok, I think her brain function is there, I think she’s back.'”

It was a miracle that Emily showed no signs of any kind of brain damage. Mother and daughter say that they only have God to thank for being able to endure the harrowing experience. Speaking of her side of the story, Emily said, “I know I was touched by God, and I think when He touches you can’t even explain it. It would have been fine with me had I gone that night, but I didn’t and the Lord had something else in store, and I felt fabulous. It was an experience that I will never forget because of the way I felt when I woke up. I just felt like I wanted to stand up and dance and scream and sing and whatever. It just felt so good.”

Today, Emily continues living a healthy life after her triple miracle. Although there are some questions regarding what happened that night, but Lorraine knows that God was with them and helped them through the experience. Of the whole thing, Lorraine said, “The joy of having her back was wonderful, but greater was the peace of having Him with us.”

Only 'God's Hands' Can Explain 3-Y-O Boy's Miraculous Survival in 9th-Floor Fall

A doctor in Argentina has suggested that only God can explain how a 3-year-old toddler miraculously survived after falling from the ninth floor of his apartment block last month, and took only 20 days to recover.

Hospital director Cristina García de Alabarse at the Children's Hospital in San Miguel, Argentina, said that despite being a "woman of science," occurrences such as this leave her looking to the heavens for answers.

Garcia said she has never heard "of a similar case, it is, at the least, unusual that a person could fall from such a height and have so few after effects."

"There are times that for us professionals, there's nothing left but to put ourselves in God's hands. I'm Catholic and I believe that miracles exist. Something happened there," she said, the Catholic News Agency reported on Sunday.

The incident concerning Martin Chain occurred on June 7, Clarin.com reported last month, when the 3-year-old boy fell from the ninth floor while playing on the balcony of his apartment.
Though the boy was rushed to the hospital on the verge of death, he not only survived, but took only 20 days to recover, showing no sign of long-term complications.

The boy's father, identified as Maximo, was apparently preparing food when the boy walked out onto the balcony and climbed over the railing.

Martin fell almost 100 feet down to the ground, and there was nothing to break his impact, the parents said.
"As he peered out, Maxi saw Piti (Martin) face down, lying on a patch of wet ground amid debris. And he saw him move," the mother, Florencia Núñez, said.

The doctors at the hospital were reportedly "stunned" when they saw the crying child was still conscious and hadn't suffered any broken bones.

Martin, however, was placed into a medically induced coma because he had sustained trauma to his abdomen and skull, and suffered a pulmonary contusion which made breathing difficult.

The parents said they "didn't stop praying" for their son's recovery, and their prayers were granted.
"He just has a few problems walking, but it's nothing permanent. With physical therapy he can make a 100 percent recovery," García de Alabarse said.

"He will have to continue with a psychologist, and physical checkups for a while, but we don't expect he'll have major problems long term. It's incredible," she added.

A mother in Ireland also reported experiencing a miracle in August 2016 after her 2-year-old son fell from the sixth-floor balcony to a concrete area on the first-floor of a hotel in Limerick.

"I believe it was a miracle. I believe I got a dig-out, I really do," Martina Shanahan said at the time, according to the Irish Independent.

The boy, Neil, spent five weeks in the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital but received no physical scars from the event.

Father Catches Babysitter Raping One-Year-Old Baby

Father of a one-year-old girl caught a babysitter who didn’t know her parents were going to return early from a visit to a food store molesting her.
Jayson Newlun, 26, was caught molesting a one-year-old girl by her mother (Picture: Clay County Jail)
Jayson Newlun from Missouri had been babysitting the girl on the night of June 29th and thought he was alone when the child’s parents left to get some food.

Metro Uk report says the girl’s mother forgot something and had to return home to pick it up and noticed that the babysitter, Newlun, was not on the couch anymore and their daughter’s bedroom door was open.

She allegedly saw Newlun taking inappropriate photos of her child before touching her genitals while inappropriately touching himself when she walked into her room.

According to court documents, Newlun screamed before he was reportedly punched several times by the girl’s father and hit with a dresser drawer.

A neighbour had to step in to stop the father continuing the attack on Newlun.
Family members said 26-year-old was a family friend of the child’s parents and that they were only gone for five to ten minutes.

Newlun was charged with statutory sodomy and was detained and taken to the Clay County Detention Center.

Elevation Church Makes Fortune's 2017 National List of 100 Best Places to Work for Millennials

Featuring perks such as subsidized on-site child care and 100 percent company-paid health coverage, the multi-campus Steven Furtick-led Elevation Church in North Carolina has made Fortune magazine's list of 100 best places to work for millennials in 2017 and they are hiring.

The United States Census Bureau describes millennials as America's youth born between 1982 and 2000. With 83.1 million millennials nationwide, the generation represents more than one quarter of the population. They are more than the 75.4 million baby boomers and are also more diverse than the generations that preceded them, with 44.2 percent being part of a minority race or ethnic group.

According to Fortune, Elevation Church, which was previously ranked in 2015, made their list after they surveyed more than 398,000 U.S. employees from Great Place to Work-Certified companies.

The companies were then ranked by how positively they were rated by millennials on 50 different metrics including competence of managers and how much they liked their colleagues. The companies were also ranked on diversity and how millennials stacked up against other generations.

At the end of that process, Elevation Church was ranked 91 on the list of 100 companies for 2017 and was the only church on the list.

"This is a very fast-paced, but fun environment. It's honestly the kind of place where if you try to put just one foot in, and be half-hearted about your job, you're going to get left behind very quickly. But if you jump in, it's the best place ever," one survey taker from the church reported, according to Fortune.

"Families are welcomed and prioritized every step of the way — from on-site preschooling, to spouses being able to sit in on all-staff meetings, to quarterly family-centric staff parties. I think what separates Elevation as a great place to work is the understanding that culture and commitment to family are essential to succeeding in the work place," the survey taker said.

"My family has felt very supported through some tough seasons, and we've found the kind of support system here that is hard to find anywhere, much less in the workplace. When you have that, it would take something earth-shattering to get us to move to another place to work," the comment ended.

The growing church, which already employs more than 200 people, plans on hiring 40 new staff members in the coming year.

Elevation Church Staff members get 20 days paid time off after just one year of full-time employment along with 12 paid sick days.

Along with their subsidized gym that comes as a part of their health and wellness program, Elevation church also provides other onsite services.

"Elevation Church's on-site services include, haircuts by professional stylists, car detailing, alterations, discounted movie tickets, oil changes, and financial planning services. All services are scheduled through our office assistant and billed as a payroll deduction," the 11-year-old church said, according to fortune.
Employees also compete in recreational sports at a park near the church's headquarter office.

"I've been here less than a year but I would say my whole experience has been unique and unusual. Every morning I get to wake up and come to a place where I can collaborate with a diverse group of people to accomplish one common goal. People care about my career and about seeing me develop into a healthy individual mentally, physically, and spiritually. We are given practical opportunities to grow, whether it's leadership training, fitness challenges, on-site chiropractic care, healthy vending machines, Christian mentorship, etc. Elevation Church isn't your normal 9 to 5, we are a family passionate about our calling," one recent employee said of the church.

Can America Still Be Saved?

Is it too late for America? Are the nation's best days behind us? Can our sickly country be saved?

Michael Brown holds a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New York University and has served as a professor at a number of seminaries. He is the author of 25 books and hosts the nationally syndicated, daily talk radio show, the Line of Fire.
On July 1, 2016, conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza sent out an email titled, "On The Brink Of Losing America Forever," and it certainly feels that we are that close. But have we passed the point of no return?

We could all point to a virtual mountain of sins and crimes that are rampant in our country, including the killing of more than 55 million babies in the womb. We could all indict America on many fronts. That is easy to do. But has Almighty God written us off forever?

As we celebrate the 241st anniversary of our nation this July 4th, this is the most important question we can ask. Everything is else is secondary. Can America be saved?

In my first book on revival, written in 1989, I asked, "Is God through with America? Is He ready to spew us out of His mouth? Is it too late for revival? Is our country ready to die?"

Now, almost 40 years later, these questions are much more urgent. Do we realize how much farther we have fallen?

I have asked these questions again in my newest book, Saving a Sick America: A Prescription for Moral and Cultural Reformation, due out in September. It is a book filled with great hope for our future. But it is a hope based in realism, since we will never get healthy unless we realize just how sick we are.

To use a physical analogy, America has cancer, and without radical treatment, that cancer will soon be terminal. But with major medical intervention and a total change of lifestyle, the prognosis is promising. How will we respond? Taking a pill and taking a nap will not cure our condition. Trying to eat a little better won't reverse a mortal disease.

In the same way, a nice church service won't turn the tide, a lovely sermon won't awaken us, and a casual prayer meeting won't stir us from our stupor. We need a sense of desperation and urgency. Do we have it? Are we praying and crying out and making changes in our own lives as if America hung in the balance?

We need another great awakening – a massive, spiritual revival – but a national awakening will not come up without national desperation. How hungry are we? How urgent are our prayers? How intense is our desire for God to visit our nation? Do we realize how sick we are?

In the introductory chapter to Saving a Sick America, I wanted to paint a picture of just how far we had fallen, and do so in just a few pages. How could I drive this home? While giving this prayerful consideration one day, everything became clear. I would tell the story of an all-American dad who fell asleep while watching Leave It to Beaver with his family in 1961, only to wake up in 2017. The changes are stark and shocking and disturbing. How did we get from there to here?

But my goal in that chapter (and in the book as a whole) was not to depress us or discourage us. Instead, my goal was to awaken us to the urgency of the hour so that we will turn to God with urgency and make urgent changes in our lives.

It is not too late for America unless we make it too late by our complacency and carnality and indifference. But if we will turn to God with all our heart and soul, our best days could be ahead, as preposterous as that may sound.

That's why the last chapter of the book is called, "The Church's Great Opportunity." There I tell the story of an American shoe company that decided to expand overseas, sending their best salesman to start a new branch in Africa. Before he arrived, the company spent years in strategic planning, targeting this particular region as ideal for their global expansion and shipping thousands of boxes of shoes to their huge new warehouse. But within hours of the salesman's arrival, he called the company headquarters in a panic. "Get me out of here!" he exclaimed. "No one here wears shoes!"

They flew him home immediately, temporarily halting their plans, then met as leaders to reevaluate their strategy. After lengthy discussion, they decided that their plan was sound, sending their second-best salesman.

Once again, within hours of his arrival, the salesman called headquarters with an urgent message, but this time his tone was very different. "We need thousands more boxes of shoes!" he exclaimed. "Nobody here has any shoes!" That is the mentality we must embrace here in the USA today in the midst of massive societal decline. Everyone needs what we have to offer.

As I wrote in Saving a Sick America, "Without a doubt, our nation is desperately sick, on the edge of spiraling into moral and cultural chaos. And without a doubt, much of the church is backslidden, having been seduced into apathy, lethargy, and carnality by a compromised, watered down 'gospel' and by the endless temptations of the age. In many ways, these are dark days for our country spiritually and morally, and we must not minimize the urgency of the hour. But rather than throw our hands up in despair, we should recognize that this is the perfect opportunity for the church of Jesus to rise up in the truth and power of the Spirit, bringing the message of life and transformation to our very sick country. This is the church's great opportunity. This is our time to stand."

By God's grace, I'm determined to stand strong, to speak the truth and live the truth, regardless of cost or consequence, and to turn to God will all my heart. Can we stand together? Do we really have a choice?

I truly believe that America can still be saved, but only if we do not minimize the urgency of the hour.
